Why I Started T&C Crafts, LLC?

I am a mother of two beautiful girls — one is 10 months old and the other is 11 years old. As my oldest daughter gets older, I’ve started realizing how much harder it can be to connect sometimes. She’s developing her own interests, spending more time with friends, and becoming her own person. While I love watching her grow, I also found myself wanting to hold onto those moments where we could still truly connect.

To strengthen our bond, I started introducing her to some of the things I loved growing up. We began playing games together, and I even rediscovered my own love for video games. But I didn’t want screens to become the only thing we shared.

As I paid attention to the games she enjoyed most, I noticed a pattern. She loved fantasy-style games where you could create your own character, build communities, and design your own little world. Watching her creativity come alive inspired me to think differently about how we could spend time together away from a screen.

That’s when we started creating projects together.

Our first project was building a flower garden. I let her choose the flowers herself, and she even added little decorations and extra pieces to turn it into its own tiny community. Seeing how excited she became while creating something with her own hands was such a rewarding experience.

After that, we graduated to building our own dollhouse using old cardboard boxes we had lying around the house. What started as a simple craft project quickly became something much bigger. She designed how many rooms the house would have, picked out the furniture ideas, chose the flooring and wall décor, and even moved some of her dolls into their new handmade home.

It became her world — one she imagined and built herself.

That experience made me realize that maybe other parents are going through the same thing I was. Maybe they are also searching for ways to reconnect with their children in meaningful ways. Maybe they want to show interest in their child’s world while also creating new experiences together away from screens.

That’s where the idea for T&C Crafts was born.

I believe there’s something special about creating with your hands. Building something

yourself gives you a sense of pride, accomplishment, and confidence that is hard to explain until you experience it.

I remember feeling that way myself when I was younger.

I’ve always loved drawing, but portraits were something I struggled with for years. When I was 16, I saw a photo of my little cousin that I absolutely loved, and for some reason, I became determined to draw it. I worked on that picture for hours. It felt like forever.

When I finally finished, I was so proud of it that I woke my mother up around 1:00 in the

morning just to show her. I was sure she was going to fuss at me for waking her up, but

instead she studied the drawing carefully, recognized exactly who it was, and even gave me feedback on what I could improve.

And my mother wasn’t an artist at all.

I went back to my room, made the changes she suggested, and when I showed her the

finished version, she was genuinely happy and impressed with the result. To this day, I still remember the feeling I had in that moment. The pride. The accomplishment. The excitement of creating something with my own hands.

That feeling stayed with me.

Ever since then, I’ve continued exploring new creative outlets trying to recreate that same feeling over and over again. And now, through T&C; Crafts, I hope to help other families experience that feeling too.

Not just the joy of crafting, but the joy of creating memories together.

That is the heart behind T&C Crafts.

My goal is to create craft experiences that help families slow down, create together, and build meaningful memories through imagination and creativity. Whether it’s designing tiny worlds, building characters, creating games, or turning simple materials into something magical, I want every box to inspire connection, confidence, and creativity.

Because sometimes the best conversations, the biggest smiles, and the strongest memories happen while creating something together.
